WELCOME
for training on a new Master’s program:
“TECHNICAL DIAGNOSTICS OF EQUIPMENT AND STRUCTURES”
The Master’s program is based and implemented on the basis
of the Department of Energy Management and Technical Diagnostics of IFNTUOG.
The master’s program aims to develop basic knowledge of students in assessing the actual technical performance of machines and structures, selecting the most informative diagnostic indicators concerning their condition, methods of collecting and processing diagnostic information, selecting tools and methods for diagnostics, and predicting the operational life of equipment and structures.
ADVANTAGES: Upon completion of the training, the Masters will additionally receive a certificate of special training that allows to pass certification for a specialist in nondestructive testing of machines, mechanisms, equipment of increased danger of the I-st, and as an exception of the II-nd level in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9712: 2012 “Non-destructive testing: Qualification and certification of personnel in the field of nondestructive testing” in the personnel certification authority and ISO/TS 21759. This procedure will greatly simplify their further employment in all areas of technical activities (oil and gas industry, construction, transport, engineering, energy, chemical industry, etc.).
PROSPECTS: The master of this specialty can be employed in practically any enterprise of Ukraine, as, TECHNICAL DIAGNOSTICS is a regular technological operation.
FORM OF TRAINING: full-time, dual, part-time
CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION: Bachelor’s Degree, drive for learning and obtaining a dignified profession

FOR BACHALAUROS OF ALL ENGINEERING SPECIALIZATIONS
Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, starting in 2018, begins recruitment of students for a new Master’s program specializing in “Technical diagnostics of equipment and structures” (according to the Decision of the University Academic Council from 30.08.2017 on the introduction of this specialization within the framework of specialization 131 “Applied Mechanics”). The training period is 18 months.
Technical diagnostics is an area of science and technology engaged in:
- the establishment and study of parameters and characteristics that determine the state of technical systems for predicting possible deviations in the values of these parameters, including beyond the tolerance, resulting in failures;
- development of methods and means of control in order to prevent violations of the normative functioning of technical systems;
- predicting the service life (accident-free operation) of technical systems in the normal operation modes.
Technical diagnostics is the determination of the technical condition of the object with a specified accuracy (according to DSTU 2389-74 Technical Diagnostics and Condition Monitoring) and is one of the effective methods for ensuring the operational reliability of long-term operation. Performance of technical diagnostics (technical condition evaluation) of equipment and structures is a routine technological operation on enterprises.
